Golden Tide

Tones: Tangerine, Lemon, Umber, Powder Blue

About The Print: The last golden light of a sunset illuminates the sky and clouds yellow as it is setting over a bay at low tide, with a solitary sailboat moored in it's shallow waters. Oil on canvas.

About The Artist: Edward Mitchell Bannister was a Tonalist painter. Just like other Tonalists, his style and pastoral subject matter were inspired by Milet and the French Barbizon School. He lived most of his life in New England and he was a member of the Boston abolition movement and a founding member of Providence Art Club.
